    Hello and welcome

Here are a few slides to show a few places that are within a short drive of our villa in Brittany.

All of the places shown are family friendly, and although we've only shown a selection, there are many other places to visit locally and further afield.

    Seafront Ker Moor Hotel

Bénodet is one of the most fashionable seaside resorts in Brittany. The town is home to a casino, a thalassotherapy, cinema, a marina, hotels and a few beaches.

    Trez beach

Is at the centre of the resort and offers:

    - Sailing boat, dinghy and catamaran rental.

    - A beach club.

    - Beach hut rental, free showers and toilets.

    Beaches

There are four beaches at Bénodet. Whether you are with family, friends or the love of your life, there is always a beach to suit your needs.

    Beaches

There are many good bars and restaurants just across the road from the beach.

    Phare du Coq beach

Lies between the river and the sea, the little Phare du Coq beach sees sun throughout the day, but is at its best in the afternoon.

    St Gilles beach

This beach is bordered by rocks and is great for kids who want to explore the rock pools.

    Family friendly beaches

There are four beaches at Bénodet. Whether you are with family, friends or the love of your life, there is always a beach to suit your needs.

    Beach life

Kids, being just that on Trez beach.

    Carantec beach

Carantec is located on the coast of the English Channel, and contains a small island within its boundaries, the Île Callot. Carantec is bordered by the communes of Henvic and Taulé to the south, and is near to the town of Morlaix.

    Sand castles

Child friendly beaches, where your children can entertain themselves building sand castles.

    Messing around

Shallow water extends into the sea, ideal for paddling children.

    The beach

In common with many other French towns, Crozon has a number of fêtes and festivals at various times of year. Probably the best known festival held in Crozon is the quaintly named “Festival du Bout du Monde”... the World's End Festival! This is a great music festival held every summer, which draws people from all over Europe to enjoy the live bands who flock to play at this prestigious event.

    Fresh water beaches.

Ideal place for walkers and children alike. The walk around the lake is fairly easy, covering a distance of about 7.5 kilometres.

There's parking, beaches, watersports and wild salmon and trout fishing available at the lake.

    Boating & sailing

You can take your own dinghy, or hire sailing equipment at the lakeside. There's a sailing school, wind surf and pedalo hire at the lake.

    Boating

Take the family for a relaxing day out at the lake side, there's plenty to occupy all ages.

    Beautiful Bréhat

Bréhat is actually an archipelago composed of two main islands, separated only at high tide, and many smaller ones. It is famous for its pink granite rocks, very mild micro-climate and Mediterranean vegetation, due to the warm Gulf Stream coming from across the Atlantic.

    Ferry crossing

Many day-trippers come to Brehat every day by the ferry service (les Vedettes de Bréhat) and visit the main tourist attractions, the Paon & Rosedo lighthouses, the St-Michel chapel, the Guerzido beach, the Birlot water-mill and the Verrerie of Bréhat

    Boats achored just off Bréhat

Many people sail to Bréhat from Jersy & Guernsey to visit this famous French town.

There's lots to see and do, plus there are some fabulous bars and restaurants.

    Josselin Château

This is a medieval town of great character designated a 'Petite cité de caractère' and Floral Town. It boasts a famous Chateau, 11th Century Church and 17th Century housing. There is a fine selection of bars, restaurants, pavement cafes and shops, and a bustling Saturday market. We think it is one of the best small towns in Brittany.

    Locquirec beaches

There are some beautiful sandy beaches in this area of Bretagne & the beaches around the Locquirec area are no excepion. The water looked so clean & as you can see it was a beautifully calm sea when we visited.

    Locquirec church

The beautiful little church at Locquirec dates back to the 1400s, famous for its sundial which are unique to the Breton area of France.

    Le Mont Mont Saint-Michel

Saint Michael's Mount is a rocky tidal island and a commune in Normandy, France. It is located approximately one kilometre (just over half a mile) off the country's north-western coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches.

    Shopping

This is an ideal destination to visit if you like shopping. Traditional lace and Celtic jewellery are produced here, and there's a variety of Cafés, bars and restaurants.

    Vauban tower

The cove is located in Morgat Douarnenez Bay and is situated between Sligo in the East and the tip of Kador (Beg ar Gador) in the west. It once housed the tuna and sardine port Morgat. As the fishing industry declined, the port has become a marina.

Morgat is famous for its caves, coloured red and pink due to oxides of iron. These caves became famous due to travel diaries of many visitors to the Peninsula at the end of the 19th century.

    Historic Morlaix

The old quarter of the town has winding streets of cobbled stones and overhanging houses constructed of stone and timber. Many have religious and secular sculptures on their façades.

    A diverse range of environments

Experience a wonderful journey into the oceans and seas of the world at oceanopolis.

    - Tropical seas.

    - Polar seas.

    - Temparate seas.

    Handling Starfish

Ideal for adults and children alike. There are opportunities for children to touch some sea creatures.

    Sharks

Huge aquariums house a variety of sealife. There's a panoramic elevator that plunges deep into the shark tank!

    Tropical aquariums

The Tropical aquarium displays the wide diversity of marine organisms, from sharks to live corals, not to mention numerous species of colourful fishes and invertebrates.
